Established in 2000, at the height of the dot-com boom, eType was created to offer a new sales approach to Internet-based advertising for both advertisers and premium web publishers.

Unlike other sales houses who have large portfolios of virtually unheard of sites, eType exclusively works with “best of breed” clients in very closely-defined business sectors.

In September 2007, MIG launched dedicated video advertising network, eType Video, to capitalise on the emergence and continued popularity of online video within the UK market. Having secured an exclusive licence with leading video specialist, Videoegg, in March 2007, to sell all UK inventory, the formation of a dedicated video network seemed a logical progression for MIG.

Since its formation, eType Video has acquired the sole UK sales rights to video advertising across fourteen of the twenty most popular online communities including Bebo, hi5 and Facebook third party applications, plus over fifty additional premium sites, which deliver in excess of 80 million video streams per month.
